My HDD crashed. So, I bought the WD GREEN SATA SSD (2.5") drive and put it into my HP Pavilion 15 laptop. Then I ran the Windows 10 Recovery/Installation software from a flash drive with "Create Windows 10 installation media". However, the installation software does not find the new WD GREEN SSD. It suggests one could get a driver for it, and I downloaded what I think is the right one here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-cs0000-laptop-pc/20284004/model/2219...
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver
17.5.2.1024 Rev.A 17.8 MB Feb 5, 2020
Type: Driver-Storage
Version: 17.5.2.1024 Rev.A
Operating systems: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Release date: Feb 5, 2020
File name: sp101499.exe (17.8 MB)
I ran the executable and put the resulting folder onto the same memory stick and pointed to it, but the driver could not be found. Any suggestions?
Thank you. - Andrew
