So I recently restarted this laptop a few years ago hoping for it to be... better and it wasn't,  so I left it be. But I've decided to recycle it so I'm trying to factory reset it but it went from saying I need 3.85 gigabytes more to 5GB of space after I did the so called disk cleanup so.. any tips would be great

Use the HP Cloud Recovery USB flash drive to return it to factory state. (all of your data and information will be removed)

You will need a USB flash drive that is between 8-32 GB to create the HP Cloud recovery flash drive
