I got my hp notebook with pre installed windows 8 and my computer is broken now. I need my windows 8 license to activate it in my new computer. Is there a way to find it?

No the license is tied to that motherboard and could not legally be used in any other computer.

It is embedded in the BIOS. There is software that will extract it while the computer is running but obviously not possible now. If you reinstall the same version of Windows 8 as came new on the computer it will just activate itself from the Code in the BIOS. Has to be an OEM installation media however. If you think you can transfer the license from the laptop to a different computer that is legally incorrect. The Windows 8 license you purchased with the laptop is only for that laptop and no other computer.
