HP doesn't stock Recovery Disks past 5 years. Some members have used this third party site:

I heartily recommend the approach that @CherylG suggested as that will restore the original PC state, including drivers, HP apps, and the OS.

If that does not work, however, an alternative is to use this site: https://www.heidoc.net/joomla/technology-science/microsoft/67-microsoft-windows-iso-download-tool
Download the Windows ISO Downloader.exe file and run it.
When the window opens, select the Windows tab in the upper-right and then click the Windows 7 radio button.
Under Select edition, choose the Windows 7 SP1 OEM Home or Pro -- to match what you have.
That will download an ISO file of the same OEM edition that HP uses.
You can then use the free RUFUS tool to create a DVD or USB stick from that ISO file and then use that to install Win7 OEM.

The only caveat to downloading an ISO is you must be able to read the 25 character license key from the COA label attached to bottom of laptop-which by now is often scuffed and illegible. Well, that and you will likely come up short on some drivers and need to get them from your Support page.

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-2000-300-notebook-pc-series/5145724/model/519372...

This would actually be my preferred method but not knowing if a poster has tech skills to convert an ISO, do a clean install and install needed drivers makes me hesitate unless asked specifically about it.
