INDICATING FOR ME TO SELECT THE CONTACT HP BUTTON FOR ADDITIONAL HELP AND THEN THERE'S A COUPLE OF OTHER OPTIONS, MENU AND CONTINUE.

MY NOTE - the screen is frozen and my cursor will not move so I cannot click on contact HP or the main menu button or the continue button.

Hi:

 

All that long failure code translates to is one word...Failed.

 

99% of the time you get one of those codes, it means you have to replace the drive and reinstall the operating system.

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the drive removal and replacement procedure.

After you replace the drive, you can with another working Windows PC and a 32 GB USB flash drive, make a bootable USB recovery drive that will reinstall W10, the drivers and the software that originally came with your PC, using the HP Cloud recovery tool.

So,  you're saying that I can't set to factory default and it'll work, correct?

That is correct.

 

You could try it though. 

 

Worse case scenario is it won't work.
