ProBook 450
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I had to replace the hard drive from my ProBook 450 and reinstalled the Windows 8.1 operating system. Now, I'm trying to activate Windows but can't find the key anywhere on the laptop. I used a generic key I found on Microsofts website in order for the install to work but now need my real key to activate it. Pretty annoying it's no where on the laptop itself. Can someone help???

Hi:

Microsoft quit having PC manufacturers put the OEM windows product keys on stickers because too many folks were illegally using the OEM product key from the COA label on the PC it originally came on, to activate another PC

I have zipped up and attached a free utility below, that will show you the Windows product key in the BIOS.

You can then change the key in the settings menu to the one in the BIOS.
