HP Mini 210-1099EF Vivienne Tam Edition PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hello,

I own a HP Mini 210-1000 Vivienne Tam since 2009. The HDD died so I changed it some time ago with a SSD & installed Linux on it.

I need to recover the original software that was running on the laptop (with all the butterflies) for some old software to run.

I dont find the procedure and the download location for the Recovery support.

Could anyone help me please???

Thanks

@JeanLouisC, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Mini 210-1099EF Vivienne Tam Edition Recovery Software!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Recovering the original software and operating system for your HP Mini 210-1099EF Vivienne Tam Edition can be important for running specific software that was previously supported on your device. Here are some steps you can take to restore the original system:

Check for Recovery Discs: Often, HP provides recovery discs when the computer is first purchased. If you still have these discs, you can use them to restore your system to the original state.

Recovery Partition: Typically, HP laptops come with a recovery partition. However, since you have installed a new SSD and it’s been formatted with Linux, this recovery partition might not be available.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any CDs. The laptop just came with a recovery partition that has been lost when the HDD died.

this is the reason why I am looking at location where I could download an iso file to put on your USB stick and be able to reinstall everything as brand new.

if someone could help me in finding this location it would be great.

thx

@JeanLouisC, Thanks for the update, and totally get where you’re coming from!

Since the original recovery partition is gone and no recovery media was included, the best option would have been downloading the official recovery ISO from HP. However, for older models like the HP Mini 210 Vivienne Tam Edition, HP no longer offers recovery downloads directly.

Your next best bet:

HP Support Recovery USB: Sometimes available for order from HP's official recovery media partner site – though availability is limited for legacy devices.

Hope this helps!
