Hi:

Your notebook is dead slow because of its specs.

HP Notebook - 15-af129nl (ENERGY STAR) Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support

The AMD Dual-Core E1-6015 APU is the slowest processor HP installed in that model series and coupled with only 4 GBof memory, that makes for poor performance right out of the box.

Also, your notebook only meets a couple of the W11 hardware specs (it does not have a supported processor or a TPM 2.0 security chip).

W11 also requires more system memory than W10 did.

You would have to use one of the W11 hardware check bypass methods to upgrade to W11 in your notebook.

I found this method to be the easiest way to do that.

I recommend that you make a system image of your current W10 installation prior to updating to W11, so you can easily reinstall W10 in the future.  I used the free Macrium Reflect software to do that, under the Backup at Home section.

Along with the system image, make sure you create the bootable DVD or USB rescue drive you boot from to access the system image stored on your portable hard drive.

Your notebooks W10 product key is encrypted in the BIOS of your notebook.

You don't need it to clean install W10.

However, if you want to view the W10 OEM product key just for info, you can install the free showkey plus app from the Microsoft Store and it will show you the product key that is stored in the BIOS.
