Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello I am having trouble getting windows 10 for my HP EliteBook 8460p. Until a few days ago my computer worked fine then all of a sudden I lost everything I have tried to reset it to factory but nothing is working. It is also not showing anything on screen except turn on and off throughout the entire day. What can  I do.

Hi:

You can make a bootable W10 installation flash drive with the Media creation tool from the link below.

Download Windows 10 (microsoft.com)

Make the 64-bit installation media.

Since your notebook did not come with W10, when you get past the 'Install Now' screen, you will be asked to select the version of W10 you want to install (W10 Home or Pro--whichever one the notebook was running before this happened).

Then you will be asked to enter a product key.

Select the 'I don't have a product key' option and W10 will install and then activate after you are connected to the internet.
