Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey. I would like to get the Windows 10 build image, which is needed to activate it with a key from BIOS.

Hi:

No one on this forum would have that info.

It doesn't matter what build of W10 Home you install.

The product key in your notebook's BIOS will work with any of them, including v1809.

I recently downloaded the installation tool from the Microsoft website, tried to install via a USB flash drive. But he did not identify the key after entering.

Hi:

It should have worked.  I wonder if your model has W10 Home Single Language.

If it does, then you need to install W10 Home SL.

I have zipped up and attached a free utility below that will show you the W10 product key in your notebook's BIOS.

Then you can figure out what the issue is.

OK, so I guessed right...

Go back and clean install W10.

This time select W10 Home Single Language from the list of operating systems to install and you should be fine afterward.

@alex_gud

You need to confirm that Single Language is one of the versions included in the ISO file you downloaded.

To do that, you have to do the followinmg:

1) Double-click the ISO image to mount it -- it will then have a drive letter, let's say that is "f"

2) Open a file manager, point it to "f" and look in the "sources" folder. You will see either an install.wim or install.esd file

3) Then open a command windos as Admin and enter the following command:

dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:F:\sources\install.wim

If the file is an install.esd fiile, then use the following command instead:

dism /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:F:\sources\install.esd

If there are multiple versions of Windows in the ISO file, you will see them listed, each with an index number

To see the build details on any of the versions, repeat the command above but follow it with "/index:n"  where n=index number
