My machine came with Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 pre-installed. Because of a problem caused my Microsoft 10's Service Update function, none of my Office 2007 apps work any more.
I tried to use the Microsoft download site to download an install file so I could reinstall Office 2007, however the Microsoft site only works with "retail" keys ... not the "volume license" key that HP used to pre-install it on my machine.
Is their a way to reinstall just my Office 2007 software from the HP Support partition?
(i.e. I don't want to do a complete reset of the whole computer ... I just want to reinstall Office 2007 and leave all my other current software and my personal files untouched).

Edited correction of my original post.
Thanks for steering my thinking along the lines you did, Huffer.
I'm in Canada and on AMAZON.CA I found what seems to be a reputable seller that will give me a key to install from a Microsoft site, a permanent license of Office Professional PLUS 2016 2013 for $CDN 51.00. (I can only install the product once and there's no version upgrade rights, but barring another "treat" delivered by Microsoft's "Service Update", 2016 2013 should be fine for my daughter's needs and will be "supported" longer than 2007). https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B007UXIE7Q/ref=pe_3034960_233709270_TE_item
I had originally been thinking in terms of Office 365 Personal for $CDN 7.00/mo + tax, but for my daughter's situation, I like the idea of the Office Professional 2013 for a 1 time charge of $CDN 51.00, makes more sense to me personally, than monthly charges of ~$8.00 ad infinitum.
Also see my subsequent post for further details on what I actually bought to solve the problem in my specific situation (or course YMMV).

Yes. I fed it into the Microsoft site to get a downloadable installtion file and that's when I got the message saying the key I entered was a "Volume License" and it wouldn't accept it in terms of downloading the code.
But based on your reply I went back and looked at the site again, and now notice it mentions the "Volume Licensing Service Center" at the bottom, that I missed when I was looking at it initially. Is that the process I need to go through? I suspect it is and I'll see if I can get what I want through that portion of the Microsoft site.
If you have a different thought let me know. If I get what I'm looking for I'll update my post, later this morning.
Thanks.

PS: Well I tried the Microsoft "Volume Licensing Service Center" path and I'm still stuck in terms of getting something via Microsoft. That path is obviously meant for large businesses (like HP) that have purchased Volume License Agreements that are associated to preinstall Microsoft licensed software on pc equipment.
If you can be more specific in what you're thinking I can do if I have my Product Key for "Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007" I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks

Not a big demand any more for Office 2007 so you can get a volume license copy on eBay for $20.
Hard to do better than that except if you happen to come across a DVD provided to a student by a university those are also volume licenses and would accept your Key Code.

Ok - Thanks. I'll look into that / consider it as an option. (I've heard these of these kinds of things mentioned before, but I've never looked into them to understand how / if they actually work ... and especially if Microsoft's "Service Update" process will continue to work with it ... at least till Oct 2017 when it falls into the End Of Support bucket.
It's actually my daughter's machine that I'm fussing with because of an error in a Microsoft 10 "Service Update" that was automatically installed on her machine in the last 2-3 weeks, that caused her working MSoft "Office 2007" apps to all stop working (because of an error in one of the updates associated with "Office") ... and now I'm stuck now trying to find out the quickest way to get her "Office" apps working again.
At this point, I think I'm just going to have to tell her to start paying for a subscription to "Office 365".
(Even though "Office 2007" falls into the Microsoft end of support bit bucket in Oct this year, it probably would have continued to work fine for her needs long past Oct).
Anyway. Thanks again.
