Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hello. I had to replace the hard drive, and I need the reboot discs to restore it to factory settings. I know it's an older computer, hopefully somebody has them around? I'm fine with putting them on a USB and loading them that way. I hope to get it to Windows 10 after I get it up and running again. Thanks.

Hi:

HP no longer sells W7 recovery media for your notebook.

Here are two ways you can reinstall W7.

1. Order a recovery disk set for your PC from this vendor at the link below...

2. If you can still read all 25 characters of the W7 product key on your notebook's case, you can download a W7 Home Premium 64 bit ISO file from the link below (toward the bottom of the page).

Use the Microsoft tool that I zipped up and attached below that you will need to transfer the ISO file to a DVD or USB flash drive so that it is bootable, or you can use a different utility such as Rufus for this purpose.

After W7 has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page.

thanks for your response Paul. I'll give it a shot on my own, and if it doesn't work out I'll just order the discs. I sure appreciate your guidance.
