Hi. I have an hp victus gaming laptop with i7 12700h.İt had the bios version of f06 and now f11 revision A.Before the f11 version ( with f06) my laptop was getting over 17k points in cinebench r23.But now it is just getting 10-13k.I want my old bios back and ı tried windows+b thing but it didnt work. What could ı do? 13k is the performance that i5 12500h should get if i wanted i5 performance ı could by i5.

And ı want the latest bios driver if it is not f11.

Hi @fertan4325,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing performance issues with your HP Victus gaming laptop after updating the BIOS. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Reset BIOS settings: Access the BIOS menu by restarting your laptop and pressing the designated key (usually Del, F2, or F10) during the startup process. Look for an option to restore BIOS defaults or reset settings to their original values. Save the changes and exit the BIOS. This can help resolve any misconfigured settings that may be causing performance issues.
  • Update drivers: Make sure all your drivers, including graphics, chipset, and network drivers, are up to date. Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers specifically designed for your Victus gaming laptop model. Install them and restart your laptop to see if it improves performance.
  • Perform a system scan: Run a thorough scan for malware or viruses that might be affecting your laptop's performance. Use a reliable antivirus software and ensure it's up to date. Perform a full system scan and remove any detected threats.
  • Optimize power settings: Adjust the power settings to ensure your laptop is running at its full potential. Open the Power Options in the Control Panel or by right-clicking on the battery icon in the system tray. Choose a power plan that prioritizes performance, such as "High Performance" or a custom plan with high-performance settings.
  • Check for overheating: Overheating can cause performance degradation. Ensure that the laptop's vents are not blocked and that the internal fans are functioning properly. Clean out any dust or debris that may have accumulated in the vents. You can also use software tools like HWMonitor or SpeedFan to monitor your laptop's temperature and check if it's running too hot.
  • Roll back the BIOS update: If the performance issues started after updating the BIOS, it's possible that the update is causing compatibility problems. Check the HP support website for your laptop model and see if there are any previous BIOS versions available for download. Follow the instructions provided to roll back to the previous version and observe if the performance improves.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
