Hi I updated to the latest bios update from the HP Update website. This has made my pc almost unusable and slow. I cannot find any links on the website for older versions which may or may not work (it was ok before the update!)

This is totally unacceptable behaviour by HP to NOT offer previous versions? I mean who does this? I will never buy a HP product ever again, There is ZERO solutions save and except totally wiping the PC/

Hi @gggdg,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand how frustrating it must be to experience slow performance and other issues after the BIOS update. I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this.

To try and resolve this, I recommend performing a BIOS Restore. This process will attempt to revert your PC to a stable BIOS version, which may help restore normal performance.

BIOS Restore :
1) Shutdown the computer and keep the  charger plugged
2) Hold down the Windows and B button together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B button until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow on-screen instructions and click on OK

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
