New computer. Windows 10.  When I try to search certain sites, the silverlight prompt shows up.  States I need to install it; however, when i try to install it, it states already installed. Help!

Hello,

 

Silverlight is a plug-in which works in Internet Explorer browser only.

 

What you experience may happen if you use another browser which lacks the Silverlight plug-in. However, if you try to install it, it is already there.  Consider this scenario

 

Here is a quick comparios of the icons of the most popular browsers - including IE (Internet Explorer)
