Hello,
It seems that when the battery is at 50% or 60%, it would just randomly shut off under the pretense that it was on low battery and whenever I turn it back on it would switch on this black screen that basically said there was something wrong with my battery and I needed to get it repaired through the tech center. My warranty ran out a couple of months ago and I don't know how much it'll cost to get another one. I just wanted to get some advice on how to fix this.

You can't just buy a new warranty -- but this is just self-help Community staffed mostly by volunteers and we are not authorized to deal with warranty, service or equipment replacement issues. For these issues, you will need to contact HP Customer Support.
