Hi everyone,

I just bought a new computer last week and today I got a message saying that I was almost out of memory on the c: drive. When I looked at it, it said that I only had 118 gb on the hard drive but it is supposed to be a 1tb.

All I've done since I got the computer is install a heap of windows updates, a few small programs and copied over several documents and music files.

Any ideas on where the rest of my hard drive space is?

Thanks for any help aynone can give.

The SSD will be much faster than a mechanical drive, even though much smaller.

Hi,

Your PC comes with a 128 GB M2 SSD. You can see here on the spec sheet for your device:

So you will need to uninstall any programs and apps you do not use. I would also recommend an external Hard drive for your personal multimedia files (video, photo, music). You can also perform a disk cleanup by right-clicking on the C drive and going to properties and clickink on disk cleanup. Click on clean system files and remove any temp files, old update files etc....

You could also upgrade to a larger M2 SSD which would give you more space.

Hope it helps,

David

Thanks for that.

The salesman at the store told me that the computer I was buying had 1 tb of memory and was surprised that this computer didn't have it. A closer look at the box made me realise he actually gave me the wrong computer.

I guess I'm making a trip back to the store tomorrow.
