HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M2AV)

hello Sir/mam,

I just bought my laptop with serial number 5CD4359XZD on 25/09/2025 from a new showroom. However, when I brought it home and checked its warranty online using the serial number, it showed that the cover warranty had expired. So, did I get an old laptop from the showroom or was I duped? Please tell me something about this because when I asked the showroom staff, they said that nothing happens online. The warranty is valid from the time your bill was generated. So, please tell me what all this is so that I can be satisfied. I saved a lot of money and bought this for Rs. 42500, but I am still not satisfied whether the showroom staff gave me an old one or not. Neither am I able to talk to HP care people so that I can find out. Please solve my problem.

please help

@Versha2, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-fc0000 (733M2AV).

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

I'm sorry to hear about your concerns with your new HP laptop. When you purchase a new laptop, the warranty should typically start from the date of purchase. However, there are a few reasons why the warranty check might show an expired status:

  1. Error in HP's System: Sometimes, there can be an error in HP’s system or the warranty has not been updated with the latest information.

  2. Showroom Display Model: It's possible that you purchased a showroom display model, which might have been activated when it was first used for demonstration purposes.

  3. Incorrect Date: Ensure that you have entered the correct serial number and purchased date when checking the warranty.

Here's what you can do:

  • Check Your Receipt: Make sure your receipt from the showroom reflects the correct purchase date.

  • Contact HP Support: Provide them with the purchase receipt and explain your situation. HP support can help verify your warranty status directly.

  • Verify Store Authenticity: Confirm that the showroom is an authorized HP dealer to ensure that the purchase process was legitimate.

  • Register Your Product: If you haven’t already, try registering your product through the HP Customer Support site, which might also help update your warranty status.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
