Envy x360 15 - FH0013dx. New as of Christmas 2023. Not one-hundred percent sure if this is software or hardware. After update would not boot, thought it might be the original SSD might have blew it's little mind, so attempted to replace, - no luck. (BTW, strong permanent magnets make it tough to put SSD back! Magnetic thieves keep pulling out of a gentle hold.)
In any case, no power light comes on when plugged in, no power on, no boot, stays stone-cold-off.
Have held down power button >90 seconds, F6-Pwr > 90 seconds- then plugged in. Windows-B-Pwr, then Plugged in.
Currently back to the old computer. Before the new laptop before went dark, got quite hot a few times on my leg in (then put it on a cool pad for circulation and breathing, did not turn on fan).
I tried to to replace the SSD, get into the BIOS and see what effect of a new system(Linux) so it would default to "**bleep** is this?" but still won't turn on. Put back original SSD, negative result.
I have >not< opened up and unplugged battery to do above key -combos. Should this be my next step? I was not interested into getting that deep. SSD is easy as it is on top. (Bottom? Until you flip it over.)
A little advice, direction, assistance greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi @Daighus,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It's unfortunate to hear about the issues you're experiencing with your HP Envy x360 15. Let's try to troubleshoot the problem step by step.
Power Cycle:
- Disconnect the laptop from the power source.
- Remove the battery (if possible) or ensure it's fully charged.
- Hold down the power button for about 15-20 seconds.
- Reconnect the battery and power source.
- Try turning on the laptop.
External Display:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor using the appropriate cable.
- Power on the laptop and see if anything appears on the external display. If you see something, it might indicate an issue with the laptop's built-in display.
Check Power Adapter:
- Make sure the power adapter is working correctly. Check if the LED on the power adapter is lit.
- Try using a different power outlet or a different power adapter (if available) to rule out power supply issues.
Reset BIOS/UEFI:
- If the laptop is not responding, resetting the BIOS/UEFI might help.
- Check the laptop's manual for instructions on resetting the BIOS or removing the CMOS battery. Be cautious with this step, as it involves opening the laptop.
Hardware Issues:
- Given the heat issues you mentioned, it's possible that there's a hardware problem, possibly with the motherboard or other components.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
