This is the most frustrating laptop ever. It has a small HD..apparently just 30 GB. My daughter has been using it for college. She can't run any windows updates because the system says there is not enough disk space (24.4 GB used out of 29.1GB total). She has no documents saved on it. No music or phots. I have uninstalled every app that is uninstallable. The breakdown I am getting is as follows: System & Reserved 11.9 GB, Apps & Games 11.1 GB (These are all Windows System Apps that are apparently cannot be uninstalled), Other 922 MB (This doesn't make any sense. When I click on it for details, it lists 8 folders, all empty, sized at just 4KB each), Temporary files 488 MB (18 MB of this are listed as temporary files, 470 MB as update files).
Windows update says it is awaiting download to Windows 10, version 1803. There is also a failed Windows Defender update).
I am at a loss as to how to find more space on this laptop. At this point, I just want to run refresh and start clean. But..I need to find nearly 2 GB of space.
Help me HPwan Kenobi...you're my only hope!

Here are some things you can do to recover some of the disk space:

Also, the community Win10 Forums has the following suggestions:

In addition, I have found the utility Cleanmgr+ to have LOTS of options for removing Windows junk, including log files. I use it practically every day. You can get it from here:

Also, there is a freeware app known as Wise Disk Cleaner. I use it every day to get rid of junk files: https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-disk-cleaner.html
