Im trying to install a new hard drive onto my HP G6 pavilion notebook, i downloaded a legit copy of windows 7 and burnt it onto a disc, ive changed the boot order in BIOS to run the cd drive first but whenever i restart to install the os it gives me this....
"Boot Device not found
Please Install an Operating System on your hard disk
Hard disc (3F0)
F2 System diagnostics"
My default OS that came with the notebook was originally win8 but i took that hdd out and wanting to install 7 on the new hdd without wiping my good win8 hdd if that makes sense(so if i want win7 one day i can put that hdd in, or if i want 8 one day just put that hdd in)
Any help would be great, thanks

Hi:
What you want to do makes all the sense in the world.
That way if you had messed up your W8 hard drive and the recovery disks didn't work, you would be in a dilemma.
Did you remember to go into the BIOS and enable legacy mode?
If you didn't, the notebook will only try to boot from the HDD, which of course, has no operating system on it.
You have to leave the setting that way in order to run W7.
Please see this link for additional information.

Remember when you want to reinstall your W8 HDD to disable legacy mode again.

Hi:
You should be able to use all of the W7 x64 drivers & software from the g7z-2100 on yours.
DO NOT USE ANY BIOS OR FIRMWARE DOWNLOADS FROM THIS LINK
Did you install the AMD chipset driver? If not, install that first and reboot.

In the device manager, there should be a device listed under the Other Devices category named a Network Controller. That is the wireless card and there can be more than one brand installed in your model.
Please click on that, and post the hardware ID for it. Then I will post the link to the driver you need.
If you do not know where to find that ID, please use the guide at the link below.

Here are the id's for network controller
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_1838103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_1838103C
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_168C&DEV_0032&_0280
Then the id's for "Unknown Device"
ACP\HPQ0004
*HPQ0004
