I have a HP ProBook 450 G1 - manufactured in 2015.
For various reason, I had to reinstall Win7 full from a retail disk.
Once Windows started - Device manager shows drivers missing for
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
Unknown device
Here is my issue - not quite sure WHAT drivers I need to install. Big issue - is how to install them on the laptop since I have no network and all USB ports do NOT work.
My thoughts are to download the drives using another computer - write them to a CD/DVD - ad the install them since the DVD reader works.
Please let me know what drivers are needed - Serial Number - [personal information removed] - and is there another way to install them besides creating a cd/dvd.
Thanks

I can give you all of the drivers you need except the one for the Network Controller (Wi-Fi adapter), and Unknown device until you provide the info I need:
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp65001-65500/sp65246.exe
PCI Simple Communications Controller
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp67001-67500/sp67047.exe
PCI Device
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp79501-80000/sp79521.exe
Ethernet Controller
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp63001-63500/sp63213.exe
For the Network Controller and Unknown device, please post the hardware ID's for those two devices.
Use this guide for how to find the hardware ID for a device:
I just need the top line if there is more than one line.

Chapter 2, page 15 of the service manual indicate that your notebook has two USB 2 ports on the right side of the notebook, so those should be working.
Does your notebook's display look somewhat out of whack?
If it does, that is because it is missing the graphics driver which does not show up in the device manager as needing a driver where the other devices do. Missing graphics drivers show up in the device manager under the Display adapters category as a 'Standard VGA adapter.'
You need to install the Intel graphics driver if you are seeing a Standard VGA adapter under the display adapters device manager category.

Display looks OK and it IS a Standard VGA adapter.
I have 4 USB ports - two on Right and two on Left - none of them work.
Here are the device IDs you requested.
Network Controller: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_08B3&SUBSYS_00708086&REV_83
Unknown Device: ACPI\HPQ6007
I'm currently trying to burn a dvd/cd with the drives you specified - I have not touched one in 10 years - I have to find and knock off the dust.
Thanks for you help so far - I will respond once I can get the drivers on the laptop.

You're very welcome.
OK, so you will have to install the Intel graphics adapter to get the display to function correctly and allow the PC to go into sleep mode.
Here are the drivers you need for the Network Controller:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp92501-93000/sp92648.exe
The Intel Wi-Fi adapter also needs the Bluetooth driver installed:
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71001-71500/sp71030.exe
...and Unknown device:

I uninstalled and re-installed the usb drivers.
The usb stick I use on my desktop computer is NOT reconized - but when I inserted a different usb drive - all 4 ports work - so the USB is working.
If you have any insight into the unknown device I would appreciate it.
Thanks again

You're very welcome.
You will probably have to manually install the driver for the Unknown device as follows:
Go to the device manager.
Click on the Unknown device needing the driver.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update driver.
Select the 'Browse my computer for driver software' option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran sp77869.
That folder will be located in C:/SWSetup/sp77869.
Make sure that the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.
Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file which shows driver support for the Unknown device's hardware ID:
[HP.ntamd64]
%DeviceDesc% = HPAccelerometerDriverInstall.ntamd64, ACPI\HPQ6007
