SLB9670 TPM 1.2 ver 6.43.245.0 is in the list of firmware updates to be applied in HP Security Bulletin HPSBHF03568 at the revision 10 current at the time of posting for your ZBook 15 G3. As you have successfully installed that version, I think you can feel reasonably confident your system is secure.
Of course, I am just a fellow user and I cannot provide any guarantee of security.
SLB9670 is shipped from Infineon in two versions - a TPM 1.2 version and a TPM 2.0 version. Somehow, it seems you managed to apply the TPM 2.0 firmware on a TPM 1.2 device, which would explain the lack of attestation support. Fortunately you have managed to install TPM 1.2 firmware and all seems to be working again.

Indeed, it seems that SW provided by HP allowed me to update the incompatible HW. It all came from:
What I didn't realize initially is that there were two update options for the same model, so I just applied the first one. This should have been made more explicit in the bulletin, or automatically checked by SW. The funny part is that HP TPM Configuration Utility marked the fist option as recommended, so i took it for granted and went with it.
