Help! Ive plugged my laptop charger in but my laptops not charging. Ive tried this same charger on another laptop with the same port, and it works for it.

I've tried taking the battery out and holding the power button for 15 seconds but it didn't work, and have checked the charging ports for debris (haven't found anything).

The orange light on the bottom of the computer only flashes when I press the power button. My computer is now completely dead. What can I do to fix this? (Please send help, this computer has all my school files on it).

Hi there! It seems like there is a problem that when you plug in or charge it doesn't work. Well don't worry! We are here to help!

First, Replace the battery on your PC

For this method please go to a repair shop such as MONEYTALKSWIRELESS and ask them to replace the battery

Secondly, Reinstall the OS on the PC

The only main reason is that most HP PC's don't show up the erorr when there is no os in the hard drive. First, get a fully functional PC and download the OS iso from Microsoft. MAKE SURE TO CHECK WHICH OS CAN THE PC RUN. After downloading get your hard drive from your PC and make a bootable drive using a tool like Etcher or Rufus. After that put the hard drive back into your PC.

And lastly, as a last resort run HP diagnostics.

Most HP laptops and PC's has a option called system diagnostics. When you turn on quickly press f2 on your PC and you will enter. Now run all the tests and see if there is an error. If there is one please take it to a repair shop. If not then please save all your projects plugging your PC to another PC when on BIOS (accessible by pressing f10 key) or Boot Options (accessible by pressing f9 key) or HP diagnostics.
