Hi @Ka98 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It seems like you're encountering a boot issue with your HP laptop after a factory reset. Here are steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

Boot into Safe Mode:

  • Restart your laptop and press the F8 key repeatedly during the startup process.
  • Choose "Safe Mode" from the Advanced Boot Options menu.
  • If your laptop successfully boots into Safe Mode, you may have a software-related issue. Uninstall any recent updates or drivers that might be causing the problem.

Perform a System Restore:

  • If you can access Safe Mode, you can perform a system restore to revert your system to a previous state.
  • Press the Windows key + S, type "Create a restore point," and select the result.
  • In the System Properties window, click on the "System Restore" button and follow the on-screen instructions.

Boot from Windows Installation Media:

  • Create a bootable USB drive with Windows installation media. You can use the Media Creation Tool from the official Microsoft website.
  • Boot your laptop from the USB drive. Make sure to select the UEFI option if prompted.
  • Choose "Repair your computer" > "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Startup Repair."

Check for Disk Errors:

  • Boot from the Windows installation media as described above.
  • Choose "Repair your computer" > "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced options" > "Command Prompt."
  • In the Command Prompt, type chkdsk /f /r C: (replace C: with the letter of your system drive) and press Enter. This command will check and repair disk errors.

Reinstall Windows:

  • If none of the above steps work, you may need to reinstall Windows. Boot from the Windows installation media, select "Install Now," and follow the on-screen instructions. Choose the option to keep your files if possible.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
