Hi @clakula,
Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the model details. The HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook – 15-an001la is an older product that has reached End of Life (EOL). For systems that are classified as obsolete, HP no longer publishes or maintains updated drivers or BIOS downloads on the official support page.
Because of this, the BIOS or driver files for this specific model may no longer be available for download from HP Support.
If you are experiencing a BIOS corruption issue, you may still try basic recovery options such as:
1. Performing a BIOS recovery using the Windows + B key combination while powering on the notebook.
2. Ensuring the notebook is connected to AC power during the recovery attempt.
3. Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in
4. Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
5. Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
If the recovery does not complete successfully, the remaining option would be to have the device checked by an HP Authorized Service Center, where technicians can verify whether a BIOS recovery or motherboard service is possible.
We understand this may not be the ideal situation, but due to the EOL status of the product, the available support options are limited.
Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @clakula,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
We were unable to locate the model HP Star Wars Special Edition Notebook - 15‑an001la, which is part of the 15-an000 series. To download the correct BIOS or drivers, HP requires the exact Product Number of the device. The model name alone is not sufficient to identify the correct BIOS file.
To help you further, please share the Product Number (for example: something similar to L9L79LA#xxx). Once we have that, we can check the correct BIOS package and guide you with the recovery steps.
You can find the Product Number using one of these methods:
- Press Fn + Esc on the keyboard, and a system information window will appear.
- Check the label on the bottom of the laptop.
- Look inside the battery compartment if the battery is removable.
Once you provide the Product Number, we will check the correct BIOS download and guide you with the proper steps to recover the BIOS.
Take care and have an amazing day!
