Hi
My HP Notebook takes 5-10 minutes to get to the Login Screen
It then takes 30-40 minutes to get to what should be the Desktop but all I get is a black screen
I have been reading Windows Forums where a lot of PC Users are complaining about the latest Windows 10 update
Does my Notebook have the same issues following the latest Win 10 update - if so how can I recover?
Does HP have a script that I could load via a USB stick to get back to the previous Win 10?
Does HP know if Microsoft are going to create a recovery update ASAP?
I would appreciate any help with this
Thanks

Thanks very much for sending this link
Quick question - please tell me how can I run this .exe on my Notebook from the Command Line
I have downloaded the .exe onto a USB stick - copied it over to the C: Drive - can't remember my basic DOS commands 🙂
Thanks in advance

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with that.
99% of these files only run in the Windows operating system by double-clicking on the exe file, and following the on-screen instructions to install...which is to just let the file auto install in most cases.

OK - I guess I will have to find the appropriate HP documentation that shows mw how to invoke this .exe file when I can't get to the Windows OS by conventional means
Thanks once again for your help in finding this patch
I will close this Support Request
