Product: HP 15 TS NOTEBOOK
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My notebook alerts me that updates are available and sometimes even installs on its own.  The updates are downloaded and I am prompted to restart to install updates.  During restart and install the PC says that the updates were unable to be installed and changes will be deleted.  How do I fix this issue?

Sorry, but we do not have the resources to debug issues with Windows Update -- as that is entirely a Microsoft issue.

 

When Windows Updates fail, looking in the History will generally show an error code.

 

You need to contact Microsoft Support with that error code or do online searches for details about them.
