My computer wouldn't load the OS after displaying the HP logo, and when I went to boot the computer in safe mode a message displayed saying to boot to UEFI and run a component test on the Hard Drive. I did the Hard Drive Extensive Test and within a few seconds this message displayed:

                                                                                                 Hard Drive Extensive Test

Testing Drive: 1

Hard Drive SMART Check: FAILED

FAILURE ID: GU7W04-791931-XD7V7G-60ER03

PRODUCT ID: J1J41UA#ABA

Hard Drive: 1

Component Test: FAILED

The test result is pretty self-explanatory, you need a new HDD.

If you're in warranty, HP can repair it for you. If not, a local repair shop would be your best option.
