HP Pavilion - 15-cc077na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have an HP Pavilion 15 cc077na laptop. My HDD died and I need to find my windows 10 activation key to install on a new HDD. There was no DVD or anything included with my laptop when bought new. Can I find the key somehow please?

Thanks

Dan

You don't need a key. Your Laptop is registered on the MS-Server and the key is in your BIOS.

During installation click on: "I have no key".

that's it.

but you should use a SSD-Disk instead! A 500 GB is appr. 60$ only.

Do not use the complete disk for your C-Partition. During Setup select the "new" (yellow star) button.

A C-Partition size of 120 GB is usually enough. (120x1024=122880 MB)

Hello,

Thank you for your reply. My HDD was a seagate 1TB sata. Would a SSD be compatible with size and connection?

Yes, I just recently bought a 1 TB SanDisk Ultra for 96 $

But any 2,5" SSD would be good.
