Hi Everyone,

 

I have an older DV6700, running Vista, 3GB Ram, Turion 64 X2. The hard drive died some time ago, and I just got around to replacing it. Vista is reinstalled, but I'm unable to connect to the internet in order to install all the needed drivers. Is there any way I can download the setup package for my laptop, (HP Pavilion dv6809wm), and install everything from a USB drive? If not that, then just the drivers necessary to connect to the internet via ethernet?

You need this driver for the wifi adapter...

 

Atheros 2011 Wireless LAN Driver

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54501-55000/sp54972.exe

 

You need to install the Nvidia chipset driver and that will install the ethernet controller...

 

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp37501-38000/sp37730.exe 

 

HP retired support for the dv6xxx model series a few years ago, so you will have to use a 3rd party website to easily find the drivers you need.

 

I recommend this reputable 3rd party website...
