OMEN Laptop - 15-en0023dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had my Omen 15-en0023dx laptop for about 2 years now and I've had to deal with system fan issues constantly. A while back, I sent it in to get one of the fans (cpu) repaired before the warranty expired, and then again since the system still had some issues. Then, right after it did expire, the other fan (gpu) had stopped working. I had let it slide for a while, because I didn't want to deal with repairs again. Eventually I just decided to buy a new fan and replace it myself, since it seemed fairly easy.

Now. On to the problem. Though (to my knowledge) I've followed the correct steps to replacing the fan, my laptop now only turns on to a black screen. Sometimes both fans would still run, and sometimes it would just be the one that I didn't replace. Occasionally when I booted it up, I would get the error message saying that it needed a CMOS reset, but when I'd select "reboot", it would just boot back into a black screen. I looked into the problem some more, and the HP website said something along the lines of trying to recover the BIOS, and that I should turn it on while holding Win+B to check. Lo and behold, I get an error message saying "The BIOS recovery files cannot be found or the files are corrupted." It suggests that I make a recovery drive for it, and so that's what I do. When I plug it in and hold Win+B as I turn it on, however, it just turns on to a black screen again. When the drive is unplugged and I do that, it shows the error message again.

So that's where I'm at right now. Sorry if this is quite long, but my journey with this laptop has been quite complicated, and to me it feels like every little detail might matter. My guess is that it may have been something I had messed up when replacing the fan that's causing the problems, but you guys tell me what you think. I'm pretty much out of options right now.
