Microsoft Windows 11

Hi, I can't boot from usb, I've tried everything. I need to enter advanced bios but because it's a desktop I don't have the Fn key to press Fn+tab three times. What can I do?

Hi @EduGlez,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

For HP Omen 15L desktops, entering advanced BIOS settings can be done differently compared to laptops. Here’s a method you can use to access the advanced BIOS.

Turn Off the Computer:

  • Shut down the desktop completely.

Power On and Enter BIOS:

  • Turn on the desktop and immediately start pressing the Esc key repeatedly until the Startup Menu appears.
  • From the Startup Menu, press F10 to enter the BIOS Setup.

Access Advanced Settings:

  • Once you’re in the BIOS, look for an option labeled “Advanced” or “Advanced Mode.” This could be under a tab or menu, depending on your BIOS version.

Boot Menu:

  • If you want to boot from a USB drive, you can usually access the boot menu directly by pressing F9 during the startup process. Select your USB drive from the list.

If pressing Esc and F10 doesn’t work, try these alternative methods:

Reset BIOS:

  • If you can’t get into the BIOS, you might need to reset it. Turn off the desktop, unplug it from the power source, and remove the CMOS battery from the motherboard for a few minutes. Reinsert the battery and try entering the BIOS again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
