Hi-I have been using my Omen laptop as a desktop through a KVM setup for a couple of years now, and never had trouble waking it from sleep with the keyboard. I recently removed it to its own separate keyboard, mouse, and monitor and it wouldn't wake up from sleep with the USB keyboard input. I thought I'd fix that with the BIOS, but I instead got access to the Omen Startup Assistant. I went through the menu, and didn't find anything about waking from USB input, so I tried to exit. The Left/Right buttons on the laptop didn't work, nor did any buttons other than up/down, so I was unable to select "Cancel" or "Exit". After a few minutes of trying every button on the keyboard and getting a beep but no usable action, I did a hard restart.
Now, the computer will not turn on. That is, the power light doesn't turn on, the screen doesn't light up. Nothing. I tried the "Hard Restart" recommended through Support, but that didn't work either. Complete brick. Can anything be done?
