@Loveone1, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP EliteBook x360 830 G6.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

To disable the on-screen keyboard appearing during the HP Sure Start screen on your HP EliteBook x360 830 G6, you'll likely need to adjust some settings in the BIOS or Windows. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Disabling On-Screen Keyboard via BIOS

  1. Restart your HP EliteBook and enter the BIOS setup:

    • As soon as you see the HP logo, start tapping the ESC key to interrupt the normal boot process.
    • Then press F10 to enter the BIOS setup.
  2. Navigate through BIOS settings:

    • Use the arrow keys to find the section related to System Configuration.
    • Look for any option that suggests enabling or disabling input methods or accessibility features.
    • Disable any feature that might be related to on-screen keyboards or access tools.
  3. Save and Exit:

    • Once changes are made, press F10 to save the changes and exit the BIOS.

Disabling On-Screen Keyboard in Windows

  1. Access Ease of Access Settings:

    • In the Windows search bar, type "Ease of Access" and select Ease of Access keyboard settings.
  2. Turn Off the On-Screen Keyboard:

    • In the left panel, select Keyboard.
    • Toggle off the Use the On-Screen Keyboard option.
  3. Check Startup Programs:

    • Press CTRL + Shift + ESC to open Task Manager.
    • Go to the Startup tab.
    • Check if the On-Screen Keyboard is listed here and disable it from startup by right-clicking and selecting Disable.
  4. Check Scheduled Tasks:

    • Open the Task Scheduler by searching for it in the Windows search bar.
    • Look for any tasks related to the on-screen keyboard and disable them if found.

After applying these changes, restart your HP EliteBook to check if the on-screen keyboard still appears during the boot process. The BIOS changes particularly focus on reducing any pre-Windows tools that might trigger the on-screen keyboard.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
