@Hayyan1, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

That’s really frustrating—especially after going through a system repair! 😩

Since you’re unable to open any files or applications, it’s possible that Windows didn’t fully repair itself or that system files are still corrupted.

First, try restarting your PC and see if anything changes. If the problem persists, boot into Safe Mode.

HP PCs - Windows Safe Mode (Windows 10) | HP® Support

Once in Safe Mode, try opening files and apps—if they work, there may be a software conflict. You can also try running System File Checker by opening Command Prompt (Admin) and typing:
SFC /scannow

If that doesn’t fix it, running DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth may help repair any deeper system issues.

If nothing works, you may need to perform a System Restore to a point before the issue started.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
