Need to install a new hard drive and need to order recovery media from HP? The website is not letting me pay for the drivers, it keeps sending me back. Anyone able to solve this? My warranty is expired and HP wont help.

Hi:

I can't help you with why the online webpage won't let you order recovery media, but according to this link, your notebook is supported by the HP cloud recovery tool--even though the link to the Cloud recovery tool info is not on your notebook's support page.

You can make your own recovery media that is equivalent to what you would be paying HP somewhere around $50 for.

It will restore your PC's hard drive to its 'out of the box' condition.

You will need to have access to another Windows PC with W7 64 bit or newer if yours is not working, and a 32 GB USB flash drive.

Here is an info link for how to use the HP cloud recovery tool...
