Envy DV6-7304ee
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)
My recovery partition was modified by Ubuntu which has hid all windows 8 files. I raised this issue in the forum and was advised to get a recovery DVD. However, I cannot order it through the drivers page for my model which is ENVY DV6-7304ee. How can I order the DVD and how much does it cost?

To answer your original question, ordinarily, I would recommend using HP Recovery Media to restore your PC to its original condition. That would erase the entire drive, format the drive, and install the OS, the drivers, and the HP utilities. Unfortunately, there is no HP Recovery Media linked to the HP Product Page for your PC.  You can try contacting HP Customer Support directly, using the links below, to see if you can order if from them:

If you live in the US or Canada, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact information is on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

If HP no longer provides Recovery Media for your model, a couple of other sites you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/  and http://www.restoredisks.com/

As to the cost, it varies by the PC and by the site you order it from.  I've seen reports of prices ranging from $10 USD to $40 USD.

Hi

If you use Gparted is there a recovery partition there?

If so maybe we can try a few things.
