HP Notebook 17 by 0000na, not able to access the 1Tb drive originally installed.
Laptop was running very slowly in original configuration, changed the 16Gb nvme optain drive with a 500Gb standard nvme drive. The 1Tb drive showed up in the bios but following update no drive is showing ( F66 new bios version ). When using diskmgmt.msc or devmgmt.msc the 1Tb drive is not recognised. Any help or advice on this subject would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for the help in this problem.
Regards,
Arty

Hi, thanks for the quick reply.
I have already done these steps and can confirm the original HDD is working and in order. It still has data on it from the original install from factory. I formatted it as I had all my necessary data on the new NVMe drive. Should I reconfirm or is there another step you can suggest?
Thank you for your time on this problem.
Regards,
Arty

You're welcome !
Please reconfirm. The hard disk should be detected and visible in BIOS and in Windows operating system.
Kind regards

Hi, thanks again for the help. After updating the Bios, there is NO sign of any SSD or HDD. There is recognition in Windows as per photos posted previously. The bios update was the correct version from the H.P site.
Thanks again,
Arty
