I suspect it was downloading and installing all the windows updates that were released since it was assembled. If the battery was being charged concurrently then the problem is worse. Any video or graphic app will heat the GPU in addition to the CPU. All this adds up but should clear up after a day or 2.
If the win11 updates have all finished and it is fully charged and still to hot then return it.
You might also check your power plan. Make sure the % processor utilization minimum is %5 and not 100.
Enter the phrase 'edit power plan' in the window search box
Then select the 'Advanced' tab
To keep the CPU from overheating , consider
using %99 instead of %100.
