HP Pavillion p6 series
Serial #[personal info removed.]
There was a message at one point to tell the tech the following:
stop code: critical process died.
I ran several tests. System Tune-up and Hard disk tests failed, but Startup Menu, Memory test, processor, and PCI Device passed.
I want to erase everything from this computer so I can dump it safely.

You posted this in Notebooks -- but as far as I know, the P6 series are Desktops. So, we need to know accurately, what you have.
You said you are "dumping" this -- then the best thing to do is simply remove the hard drive -- as that contains all your information.
