Perhaps I need to return the iDSONIX (EFM2-NS) M.2 NVME/SATA SSD ENCLOSURE and try a different brand that possibly includes a regular power connection in addition to the USB connection. Soo frustrated with this! But thank you again, SO MUCH, for ALL of your help, Paul_Tikkanen! You're the BEST! I had never encountered any of those problems and was totally clueless.

You're very welcome.
Hopefully you will be able to recover the data from the drive.
If you are not doing so already, make periodic backups of your user profile folders by simply copying and pasting them to a portable hard drive.
Then if you have to reinstall Windows, you can just copy and paste your profile folders to the new profile and overwrite the empty folders and you're back in business.
