hi there

I have a chromebook HP Bo& laptop ,it isnt very old but isnt under warranty anymore typically. I turned it on one day and the screen said "chrome OS is missing or damaged. Please remove all connected devices and start recovery."-the mouse doesnt work either so i literally cant do anything with it.

After searching for ages i found a video that said if i press Esc,refresh and the power button then it will do somethign else and it did but now its asking for a #USB stick or an Sd card,neither of which i have ,do i HAVE to use either of these or is there a way to get it running again wihtout them,  but if i DO need a usb or sd card ,will that be able to get it running or wil i need other stuff?
