Well, I'll need a little more information to determine why the network adapter is not working.

Please provide:

• Your exact HP laptop model number or product number.
• The version of Windows installed (Windows 10 or Windows 11).
• Whether you are trying to connect using Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or both.
• Any error messages you are seeing.

In the meantime, please check the following:

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Expand Network adapters.
3. Look for any devices showing a yellow exclamation mark, a down-arrow, or listed as Unknown device.
4. Post a screenshot of Device Manager if possible.

Also, please let me know:

• Did the problem start after a Windows update, BIOS update, driver update, or hardware repair?
• Does the Wi-Fi adapter appear in Device Manager at all?

With the laptop model and Device Manager information, I can determine whether this is a driver issue, a disabled adapter, or a possible hardware problem.

Not wanting to get ahead of things -this may not apply to you at all, but in my case, I had to use a small but powerful Wi-Fi USB dongle to significantly improve Wi-Fi performance in an older Lenovo G510 laptop by using a "TP-Link Nano AC600 USB Wi-Fi Adapter (Archer T2U Nano)" which you can purchase very inexpensively via eBay, such as this purchase example via a trusted, top-rated Seller: https://www.ebay.com/itm/133439498438?_skw=TP-Link+Nano+AC600+USB+WiFi+Adapter+%28Archer+T2U+Nano%29....
