Hi @CA191,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your child's laptop is asking for a parental access code and the codes you've tried aren't working, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1. Check Family Link Settings:

  • Open the Family Link app on your device.
  • Verify that you have the correct account linked to your child's device.
  • Check for any notifications or alerts in the app regarding access codes or restrictions.

2. Reset Parental Controls:

  • If you have access to your Google account, you might be able to reset parental controls directly from the Family Link app.
  • Go to the settings for your child's account and look for options related to parental controls. You may be able to reset the access code there.

3. Try Common Codes:

  • Sometimes, devices have default parental access codes. If you haven’t changed it, try common codes like "1234" or "0000".

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
