Recently the partition for hp tools changed from an ntfs format to a fat32 format. Whitin the last month I re-downloaded the diagnostics tool. Could this be the reason?

@Mthr127

Last time I checked this on my HP laptop, it was also FAT32, not NTFS.

But, I needed an extra partition allotment, so I copied the files into another partition and removed it.

You CAN eliminate it, but then, you might run into the situation where factory reset or other stuff might not work -- but since I take my own weekly system image backups, I don't need those.

WAWood thanks for the reply. I was having trouble with this partition and thought the reason was because it was Fat32 since everything else is NTFS.  I also do weekly backups  and was wondering about removing it. Is your partition 5GB also. Seems like a lot of space for it.
