So I have an HP Pavilion dv6 2155dx series laptop. It is about 5 years old now, but I haven't used it for the last 3 years because I needed a replacement battery. I got that fixed (eventually). During that time frame I have forgotten my password and I'm completely locked out of my computer. I keep trying different passwords and nothing is working. When I click on the reset password link below the login box, a dialogue box appears that says
"This feature requires removable media, such as a floppy disk or USB flash drive. Please insert a floppy disk or connect a USB flash drive, and then try again."
I do not have a floppy disk or a USB flash drive reset as they did not come with my computer (I've searched my entire house, literally), including the box the laptop came in.
I also tried my function keys and nothing pops up for a factory reset or anything.
I guess my question is, how do I get into my computer without having any of those things available to me?
Please help!!

Tapping F11 key immediately after powering on does not boot into Recovery?
Create an Ophcrack cd to boot from to reset/clear password:

Immediately after powering on start tapping the F11 key to boot into Recovery Manager. Choose to do a System Recovery to get back to factory defaults with no password. Do Not choose System Restore.
