Help! For some reason my password at login is no longer working. Does anyone know how I can reset the password? It’s no longer under warranty and HP Tech Support wants to charge me $99. Please help!

Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with the computer. I will be delighted to assist you here. 

 

The only way to reset the password is by performing a complete system recovery which would take it back to the factory settings. If you have a possibility of backing up the data, please do so. 🙂

 

Follow this link for instructions on performing the recovery.
