My deceased brother left me a pc in his will but has a password and idk it. I CANT lose any info from this computer because of all the sentimental value like pics. How do i take off the password without losing files and data

Unfortunately, due to HP policy changes, we cannot help you  directly with a password issue.

 

The simplest way to resolve such an issue is to find either a mobile technician or a shop that has access to Microsoft's MSDaRT 10 utility.

 

Microsoft's MSDaRT 10 utility has a tool in it called LockSmith.  It will make short work of the password and allow you access to the operating system and hard disk.
