@Sgs_Rensen

First off, we have no way of recovering or providing you a password, so if you are asking for that, we can not help.

Second, it looks like you might be running Linux -- and HP does not provide support on Linux to consumers.

Third, here is a link about accessing HP Media Smart from Linux: http://k0lee.com/hpmediavault/mv2manual/UsersGuide/usersguide/org_connecting_linux.html

Thanks for Your advice – but there was no solution to my problem: I’m not allowed to delete files on my hpmediavault (MV5020 NAS 500 GB). When I logon as an administrator I get the message, that only the Unix user\nobody is allowed that privilege! I have no such user in my administration console, and when I try to create such user I’m told that this user already exist?

I don’t know which operating system HPMedieaVault use, but I guess that the mentioned user is universal  and have an universal password?

What else can I do to be able to delete files?

Thanks a lot for responding to my troubles…

Tanslation to the attached sreenshot: Acces denied to the file. You must have the allowens form Unix user\nobody to make changes to the file.

As I already told you, HP does not provide Linux support to consumers.  So, there is nothing we can do about the password issue from here.
